HONEYWELL WEATHERPROOF POWER SUPPLIES IN PEAK DEMAND
Tis the Season to Weather-Proof Your System Power Sources

NORTHFORD, CT - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) Power Products has witnessed a strong seasonal trend in demand for its weatherproof supplies, made to power video, access control and intrusion systems. Attributed to preparations for impending storm and cold weather seasons, recent sales of Honeywell's weatherproof power products for added protection of outdoor security systems, have doubled month-over-month.

Designed to power video equipment and other security accessories, Honeywell's 17 varieties of weatherproof supplies are easily installed near outdoor PTZ camera housings, along fences for perimeter intrusion systems or at power-controlled gates. For further protection, eight styles of surge-protected, weatherproof units provide consistent power while safeguarding valuable security equipment from harmful voltage surges and spikes.

All contained within lockable, sealed, non-corrosive enclosures, rated NEMA 4X (IP66) and conforming to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, these durable supplies can withstand extreme wet and corrosive conditions within a broad temperature range of -40F to 120F. Shipped with hardware for flat surface mounting, three optional pole-mount kits make a wide variety of installations possible. By popular request, two models of weatherproof enclosures are also available without internal power components, for installers who wish to mount their own contents.

Each weatherproof power supply features electronically regulated outputs, power disconnect switch, an output LED indicator and diagnostic LEDs for each circuit. For further ease of installation, each circuit is individually protected with automotive-style fuses or auto-reset PTC type circuit breakers.

According to Gene Pecora, Honeywell Power Products general manager, "Not many companies offer weatherproof power. And I think as installers and end users tally up the amount of time spent traveling to job sites to replace equipment, more are requiring these protective, weatherproof products from the start. Let's face it; your security system is only as good as the power supply running it."
